The chocolate bacon cupcakes with maple buttercream frosting were really good but stumbling upon the bacon pieces was a bit alarming. I like the salty sweet combo, but the texture of the bacon just threw me. The maple frosting was an excellent compliment to the bacon and chocolate. And the chocolate cake part of the recipe was delicious and very moist. The kids loved them!
